Angelique is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who completed her studies in 2011. Throughout her studies and into her career, she had the pleasure of working for a boutique fitness studio located in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney where she grasped a lot of knowledge on functional exercise and technique. Additionally, she was employed by a leading aged care facility in Sydney, where she utilised her passion and skills to empower the residents who occupied the home. In particular, she worked closely with residents living with Dementia, combining her alternative thinking and ability for exercise prescription to improve their quality of life, mood and behaviours.
The ‘mobile’ status provides Angelique with a variety of interests and skills. She is involved with a handful of hospitals (hydrotherapy and rehabilitation), group circuit training and corporate health assessments. However, her passion lies with the ageing population and chronic disease management.
Other experiences involve time spent with the Sutherland Heart and Lung Team (SHALT), various aged care facilities, swim instructor/supervisor and a school fitness instructor.
Growing up, Angelique participated in a variety of sport (with a continual love for netball and swimming) and thus draws upon this involvement to promote health and well-being.
